Initially, they gathered extensive data about its operations and then created a digital replica on a computer, akin to a video game. Their focus was on a critical component known as “separation,” which helped extract oil and gas from other substances. Using this computer model, they experimented to improve the separation process without impacting real-world operations. This approach not only saved costs but also enhanced efficiency, a critical factor considering the rising global demand for energy.
